Set your primary carrier, competitors to track, preferred states and lines of business, display theme, and notification settings all in one place. Once set, those choices automatically apply as default filters every time you log in. ### Opening Preferences To open your preferences, click the account icon in the top right corner of Insuraviews and select Preferences. ### Company Benchmarking Set up your carrier and the carriers or companies you want to track: * **My Carrier**: choose your carrier from a single-select dropdown. * **Include your carrier in your filtered searches and comparisons**: turn this on to pin your carrier (labeled "Your Carrier") throughout the app and include it in your comparisons. * **Preferred Carriers:** a multi-select field with search, for tracking specific carriers. * **Preferred Companies**: a multi-select field with search, for tracking competitor companies. ### Regional & Product Focus * **Preferred States**: a multi-select state picker that focuses data and insights on the states you care about. * **Preferred LOBs/TOIs**: choose whether to filter by Line of Business (LOB) or Type of Insurance (TOI), then select the specific lines or sub-types to focus on. ### Display & UI Preferences * **Dark Mode**: toggle to switch between light and dark theme across the app. ### Global Notification Settings Notifications let Insuraviews reach out to you the moment something changes on a bookmarked filing. Notifications are built on top of [Bookmarks](/getting-started/browse-filings-and-forms/bookmarks). Before turning them on, make sure you've bookmarked the filings you want to track. Turn on **Receive email notifications for bookmarked items** to get alerts whenever a bookmarked filing's status changes (for example, Pending → Approved). #### Email Frequency You can choose how frequently you want to hear from us. There are three options: * **Immediate Notification**: sends an alert as soon as a bookmarked filing receives a status update. Best for tracking competitive rate filings or high-priority market actions where timing matters. * **Daily Digest**: rolls up all bookmark activity into a single summary email sent once per day. A clean, scannable rundown of everything that changed while you were focused on other things. * **Weekly Digest**: delivers a recap of the past week's updates across all your bookmarked filings. Great for staying oriented without inbox noise. #### What Notification Emails Contain Each notification email is clean and scannable, showing you: * The Filing ID of the updated filing * The Carrier name * The current status of the filing * A direct link back to the filing in Insuraviews Clicking the link in the email takes you directly to the filing in Insuraviews, with no digging around and no context switching. ### How Your Preferences Are Applied Once you save, your preferences automatically apply as default filters across Insuraviews the moment you log in, so you never need to reselect your carrier, states, or lines of business each session. Your primary carrier is pinned and labeled "Your Carrier" throughout the app, with a subtle indicator showing when preference-based filtering is active. Use Discard to revert unsaved changes, or Save Changes to apply your updates. ### Setup Checklist 1. Click your account icon in the top right corner and select Preferences. 2. Generated Brief

Generated Briefs include lots of important information outside of the brief itself 1. **Header:** shows the selected analytical lens and applied filters for the current brief. Also shows the **Evidence Strength,** which is a rating applied to a brief based on filing volume, cross-carrier corroboration, and geographic consistency. **NOTE!** The Evidence Strength score does not speak to the correctness or importance of the analysis shared, so confirmation and review are recommended for all generated briefs 2. **Right Sidebar:** shows additional details of the current brief, such as the count of included filings, carriers, and states, as well as other selected filters. Also has 2 options for modifying the generated brief through **Change Lens** and **Edit Scope** 1. **Change Lens:** allows the user to change the selected lens of the brief to generate a new brief with a new lens 2. **Edit Scope:** allows the user to edit the selected filters to fine tune the current analysis 3. **Filing References:** all filings included in the analysis are linked at the bottom of the brief, as well as linked throughout the body of the brief to ensure the insights shared are rooted in the filing information **Key Benefits:** * **Save time**: Eliminate hours of manual research with automated summary generation * **Focus your analysis**: Zero in on the carriers, markets, and time frames that matter most to your business * **Make informed decisions**: Access synthesized intelligence that reveals market trends and competitive strategies * **Stay current**: Generate fresh briefs as new filings are added to our weekly-refreshed database # Objection Response Handle DOI reviewer objections efficiently with AI-powered response drafting. **What it does:** Transform DOI objections into professional, well-supported response letters using comparable filing data and industry precedents. **How to use:** 1. Navigate to "Objection Response" 2. **Input the Objection**: Copy and paste the DOI reviewer's objection text directly into the system, or upload objection documents directly 3. **Provide Additional Context**: Include additional context to the "copy and paste" section, and enter any relevant filters to narrow the scope of filings considered

4. **Review Analysis**: The system analyzes the objection type and identifies key concerns 5. **Generate Response:** After generating a response, a proposed response is generated in the Regulator Objection Response Workspace.

4. The **Regulator Objection Response Workspace** is where edits can be made to ensure that the content of the letter aligns with the desired tone and alignment with the objection. 1. Change the overall tone of the response by selecting one of the tone options near the Proposed Response header. By default, the tool will generate with a standard professional tone 2. Each generated section, like the introduction or the actual objection responses, can be edited through the Section Controls, that appear when clicking on a section. Here, you can have the AI rewrite the section in a different way (Agree/Disagree or Clarification), or modify the section through supporting evidence and other simpler rewrites. 3. You can also edit the text directly in the response box, to add additional context or rewrite sections in your own words.

5. **Finalize and Export:** Once the response has been finalized, the Export button provides two options: 1. Export as Plain Text: perfect for copy/pasting into an email or other submission form 2. This allows you to apply saved filters anywhere you have the option to filter results. {% endhint %} * Once you have these results, you can view some details at a glance by selecting the **Show More Context** option. * To generate a report based on the search results, select **Export to Brief Builder** to create a new brief. * See the [Trend Identification](#trend-identification) section for more details on using the Brief Builder. * To analyze individual results, select a filing to view the filing detail view. This will show an executive summary, key details like rate impact, and the filing's underwriting companies. * The **Objections** tab will let you review the conversation between the filer and the DOI reviewer as well as view the reviewer's DOI profile. This can help you analyze upcoming filings that might face similar objections. * The **Rating Factors** page shows all of the identified factors for that filing, which can inform rating calculations and factors in new filings. * The **Product History** tab shows historic filings for the connected product, allowing you to analyze how the filing has changed over time.

* Filtering then shows a graph of the **Top 10 Reviewers Ranked by # of Days to Approval.** * In this case 'Top 10' refers to the 10 reviewers with the longest time for approval for the selected filters. * Below the Top 10 graph is the **Average Days to Approval by Rate Impact** graph, which by default shows the industry average in gray. This can be helpful in analyzing original filings and evaluating the evolution of a product.

* To review similar information at a larger scale, the **Query Builder** can be used to view the extracted information stored in our database. This can be done through a **Natural Language Query**, or by writing a customized SQL query.

* Natural Language Queries require a lot of specific wording when generating a query, so be sure to mention any information you'd like to see; otherwise, it may be excluded.

It focuses on keyword usage patterns, context and language changes, and emerging risk identification. * **Objection Briefs** focus on the objections and responses, as well as the amendments and new attachments that come with the process of trying to get a filing approved. The available lenses are simpler than the options for Intelligence Briefs: * **Short Form Objection Response** lens generates a concise summary of objection patterns. * **Long Form Objection Response** lens generates an expanded analysis of objection patterns grouped by recurring themes linked to filings. * **Keyword Deep Dive** adds a filtering option, much like it does for Intelligence Briefs. {% hint style="info" %} In either brief type, **Keyword Deep Dive** can be used as a standalone lens, or it can be applied in addition to any of the other lens options, allowing additional layers of customization and filtering on top of those lenses. {% endhint %} * After selecting a brief type and lens, identify a filter combination that sets the filings you are interested in researching.

Accessing the assistant from any page will bring up the AI assistant sidebar with the detailed conversation.

* For many pages, opening the AI Assistant will set the assistant’s “context” (or what data it is looking at) to the data relevant to that page. These pages include search results, the filings browser, filing detail view, product history, and the Brief Builder.

Access to such a wide context can sometimes lead to vague answers, so it's important to narrow down the data being considered. Once your criteria is selected, a custom brief is generated that summarizes a Market Analysis, Strategic Insights and provides references to the various filings included in the criteria used to generate the report.
