Accessing the assistant from any page will bring up the AI assistant sidebar with the detailed conversation.

* For many pages, opening the AI Assistant will set the assistant’s “context” (or what data it is looking at) to the data relevant to that page. These pages include search results, the filings browser, filing detail view, product history, and the Brief Builder.

* For all other pages, the AI Assistant will take on a general context, which extends to the entirety of the Insuraviews dataset. Access to such a wide context can sometimes lead to vague answers, so it's important to narrow down the data being considered. This can be done by selecting specific states, lines of business, or setting a date range. ***Example Prompt: Show me rate increases in Wisconsin over the last 6 months.***

* *By asking only for filings in Wisconsin from the last 6 months, you can create a specific set of data for the AI Assistant to analyze and review.* ## Use Cases ### Market Research **Keyword Search and Filtering** * To see the process of keyword searching and using filters, read more [here](/getting-started/use-case-examples/using-tools-and-reports.md#market-research). * Using keyword search and filtering is a fantastic way to set a specific context so the AI Assistant is best positioned to surface helpful insights. After searching and filtering, open the AI Assistant and ask for further information. * Below are some examples of follow-up prompts that can be useful when analyzing search results. ***Example Prompt: Create a graph of the 10 carriers who filed most of these filings.***

* *Saying a phrase like **these filings** when the AI Assistant has search results as the context is understood as a reference to the set of filings. Referencing the results captured in the AI Assistant's context is a great thing to include in prompts and can help ensure the Assistant's responses are focused.* * *The AI Assistant can generate graphs/data visualizations from the available data, which can be helpful when comparing companies in a dataset or looking at changes over time.* ***Example Prompt: Categorize and summarize the rate filings found in these results.***

* ***Categorize and summarize** is a great phrase to have the AI Assistant provide an overview of large result sets so you can review the information and pinpoint pieces of information without reviewing each filing individually.* * *Tables generated by the AI Assistant can be exported as a CSV file, in the event that you want to take the data collected by the assistant for use in another tool.* ### Competitive Intelligence **Single and Multi Carrier Views** * To see the information available on the single and multi carrier views, read more [here](/getting-started/use-case-examples/using-tools-and-reports.md#competitive-intelligence). * Currently, the AI Assistant does not receive context from the Single and Multi Carrier Views, but there are still opportunities to take advantage of the AI Assistant with the data from these pages. ***Example Prompt: Summarize the rate change in these filings***

* *Clicking through Nevada on the heat map sets the context set in the filings browser, which can then be used to summarize the underlying data. This can help provide additional context to the rate change and premium that the heat map represents.* ### Regulatory Analysis **DOI View and Reviewer Profiles** * To see more information on the DOI View and Reviewer Profiles, read more [here](/getting-started/use-case-examples/using-tools-and-reports.md#regulatory-analysis). * Currently, the AI Assistant does not receive context from the DOI View, but it can still assist with questions about reviewer profiles or the information found with the DOI view. ***Example Prompt: Analyze Andrea Hinchman's last 5 filings.***

* *Because there is no context for the DOI View, the easiest way to have the AI Assistant find helpful insights is to mention reviewers by name. The assistant has access to the reviewer profiles and can find some insights and trends in reviewers' actions.* * *The example above only asks for summaries of the last 5 filings. Once a reviewer and their filings are identified, there are many more questions that can be asked about the reviewer and how they work.* ### Due Diligence **Original filings and Database Accessibility** * To see more information on original filings and accessing the Insuraviews database, read more [here](/getting-started/use-case-examples/using-tools-and-reports.md#due-diligence). * When working in the Product History tab of the Filing Detail View, the AI Assistant can capture that context, and provide detailed insights into the evolution of the filings. ***Example Prompt: Create a graph showing the change in rate impact over time**.*

### Trend Identification **Brief Builder** * To see more information on customizing and generating briefs, read more [here](/getting-started/use-case-examples/using-tools-and-reports.md#trend-identification). * The AI Assistant and the Brief Builder are excellent tools when paired together. One of the most common use cases is asking followup questions to the assistant about findings mentioned in the brief. ***Example Prompt: Expand on the Market Implications***
